It will be a day to remember on Sunday at Hampden for six year-old Buddie Jack Donaldson.

by Paul Behan, Paisley Daily Express

The youngster, from South Park Drive, Paisley, won our St Mirren Mascot competition for the Scottish Communities League Cup Final with Hearts.

Out of all the stacks of entries Jack’s name came out the hat first as he correctly answered Danny Lennon to our competition question: Who is the current St Mirren manager?

And Jack’s big reward is the chance to lead out the team at the National Stadium on Sunday as they seek to win the League Cup for the first time in the club’s 136-year history.

The runners-up in our competition, who each win a pair of tickets for Sunday, are as follows: Amisha Singh, John Lang Street, Johnstone, Ross McGuire, Castle Gardens, Paisley, Connor Greig, Dee Drive, Paisley, Luke Millar, Glenburn Road, Paisley and Callum McCall, Craigielinn Avenue, Paisley.
