Saints’ starlet Kieran Doran has been called up to the Scotland Under-17 squad for their forthcoming training camp.

A squad of 24 players has been named for the camp, which will take place on Tuesday, February 12, and Wednesday, February 13, at the plush Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort in Cumbernauld.

Sixteen-year-old Kieran is one of eight forwards named, and joins players such as Jack Harper, of Real Madrid, and Arsenal’s Harvey Willard.

Kieran is currently a member of Saints’ under-17 side and can play up front or as an attacking midfielder.

A spokesman for St Mirren told Express Sports: “We would just like to congratulate Kieran on his international call up – it’s an accolade he fully deserves.”

The full squad is as follows: Goalkeepers - Ryan Fulton (Liverpool), Jordan Hart (Celtic), Liam Kelly (Rangers). Defenders – Mark Barrowman (Celtic), Scott McMann (Hamilton Accies), Jordan McGhee (Hearts), Morgyn Neill (Motherwell), Ryan Sinnamon (Rangers), John Souttar (Dundee United), Calum Waters (Celtic).

Midfielders – George Byers (Watford), Luke Donnelly (Celtic), Liam Henderson and Connor McManus (both Celtic), Craig Storie (Aberdeen), Tom Walsh (Rangers).

Forwards – Greg Docherty (Hamilton Accies), Kieran Doran (St Mirren), Jack Harper (Real Madrid), Jaison McGrath and Paul McMullan (both Celtic), Robbie Muirhead (Kilmarnock), Harley Willard (Arsenal), Daniel Stoney (Rangers).
