Braehead Clan player-coach Jordan Krestanovich last night revealed he is quitting the club.
And, in a shock move, the Clan immediately announced former NHL player and coach Paul Gardner as his replacement.
Krestanovich, 31, only took over the reigns at the Elite Ice Hockey League club in June, following the departure of previous incumbent Drew Bannister, who returned to Canada to take up a coaching position.
Now it has been confirmed that Krestanovich is to leave the Renfrew outfit.
And Express Sports can reveal he decided to move on after he was asked to relinquish his coaching duties and concentrate on being a Clan player.
