Buddies midfielder John McGinn last night capped a memorable few days with the news that he’s been added to the Scotland Under-19s squad for their next outing.
McGinn, 18, who came off to a standing ovation at Hampden on Sunday, will join the team for their International Challenge Match against the Netherlands on Wednesday, February 6.
The match will be played at the Sportpark Panhuis, Veenendaal, and kick-off time is 6.30pm.
Consistent performer McGinn was left out of the original squad despite playing more than 10 first team games for the Saints.
The youngster, however, is no stranger to the squad as he spent a week with them during a warm weather training camp in Turkey earlier this month.
Saints striker Thomas Reilly was due to take part in the camp too, but a fractured ankle has left him sidelined.
The Scots played Holland in a friendly at the Falkirk Stadium in September last year – where the visitors ran out 2-1 winners – but it’s hoped the young Bravehearts can turn the tables.
