St Mirren’s SFA Youth Cup quarter-final clash with Dundee United has been moved to a new date.
The young Buddies had been due to face their Tayside counterparts at Tannadice on Sunday, February 24.
However, that date is no longer available as the SPL match between United and Hibernian has been moved to February 24 to allow live TV coverage.
As a result, the Youth Cup tie has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 26, with kick-off at Tannadice at 7pm.
St Mirren’s Under-20 side booked their place in the last eight of the competition by defeating Falkirk 5-4 in a dramatic penalty shootout after the match had finished goalless.
And the Buddies had to do it the hard way as they were reduced to 10 men when defender Jason Naismith was red-carded in extra time.
On target for St Mirren in the penalty shootout were Michael Fulton, Ross Meechan, Jack Smith, Thomas Reilly and Mark Williams.
That win followed a 3-1 extra time victory against Stenhousemuir at Ochilview Park in round three back in October.
The other quarter-final ties will see Celtic play host to Aberdeen, Dunfermline Athletic welcoming Inverness Caley Thistle to Fife and Kilmarnock aiming to make home advantage count against Cowdenbeath.
