Saints must produce a peak performance

Danny Lennon insists his Buddies still have what it takes to make a late surge and gatecrash the SPL top six.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park has left the Buddies nine points away from sixth-placed Hibernian.
But with just six league matches remaining before the split, Saints have plenty of ground to make up on the teams above them.
St Mirren’s campaign continues tomorrow evening with a home game against Hearts, who sit directly above Saints in the table.
And Lennon is relishing the fact that his side has another league clash so soon.
He said: “This week, we have a very welcome home game and we’re delighted the games are coming thick and fast.
“A top six finish is still very much in our own hands.
“We had one ‘cup final’ at the weekend away to St Johnstone but that is now out of the way.
“On Wednesday, we have to come out with a peak performance.”
A win tomorrow night would lift Saints above the cash-strapped Jambos in the table.
